Food Combining and Proper Amounts
Try to avoid combining starches and proteins, due to the fact that proteins digest at a slower rate
than carbohydrates. Also, the enzymes that digest proteins are different than those which digest
carbohydrates. Improper food combining can lead to complications in the digestive system. (Yes,
that means no meat & potatoes)

To ensure proper food combining, you should select 75 percent of your daily food intake from
alkaline-forming foods and 25 percent from acid-forming foods.

Alkaline-forming Foods:
--All green vegetables
--All fruits, except citrus
--Vegetable juices
--Fruit juices, except citrus
--Goat's milk
--Raw honey

Liquids
For good health, Drink large quantities of liquids. Water, fruit and vegetable juices (fresh is
best), and herbal teas.

For best health the majority of it should be water.
(The new rule of thumb for how much water to drink istake your body weight and divide it in .
And that's how many oz. you should be drinking. For instance, if you weight 100 lbs. then you
should be drinking 50 ozs. per day.)

The best type of water is water that has been purified by reverse osmosis.
For best digestion, don't drink ANYTHING with the meal, it waters down the digestive juices.

Food Combining Chart
Most of us are lucky enough to "get away with" eating most kinds of foods combined with any
other kinds of foods. But there are many that have various difficulties in digesting their foods
properly. It is suggested that for proper digestion everyone should try to follow proper food
combining and also taking digestive enzymes. Enzymes do so much more than just help us digest
our food properly. Those of us that think we are getting away with eating what ever we want all of
the time are still having our health effected in ways that just have not shown symptoms yet.
